The Lafayette Escargot
(The Reconnaissance Squadron)
The emblem of the famed Lafayette Escargot. This outstanding graphic is proudly displayed on the fuselage and wings of all reconaissance aircraft in the squadron. For reasons not clearly understood, this squadron has the highest attrition rate of the wing.
Kathryn "Kate" Schreiber
My co-pilot in life. Need I say more?
Emmaline "Emetic" Mina
Hmmm . . . too many carry-ons, perhaps?
Joanne "Jumpin' Jo" Rock
A pilot in her own mind, Jo is often found flinging herself off mountains in a desperate attempt to fly under her parawing. Yeah right! When rocks fly, maybe!
Chris "Moonlight" Borreson
Chris couldn't find a huge outdoor arena stage near San Marcos if he worked there.
John "Captain Video" Arbaugh
John's a real theatre trooper--he'll do just about anything one asks. Just don't ask him to leave when you're at 3000 feet.
Andy "Stick" Elliott
Elliott founded the Chinese School of Flying, Won Wing Low. This style of piloting apparently provides a better view of the ground--so as to avoid it. As Dirk Gently notes: the definition of flying is merely to fling oneself at the ground--and miss.
Peter "Budgie" Larlham, Ph.D.
Physician for the famed Lafayette Escargot until it was discovered he wasn't "that kind" of doctor. Joined the squadron in December of '95.
Chadwick "Mean" Greene
The youngest member of the famed Lafayette Escargot, Chad is a natural pilot. It must come with the hat.
Jeremy "Bandit" Kirshner and Alex "Band-Aid" Hansen
Fearsome in flight, blow-hards at band practice, this noted pair of pilot musicians really know the score.
Desirea "Dizzy" Ortega
An accomplished actress, Dizzy acts like she really enjoys flying.
Sarah "Wingover" Williams
Press Officer for the famed Lafayette Escargot. Re-enacted the Battle of Britain in the skies over San Diego.
